A menswear label that needed a storefront and a creative engine to feed it — both built from the same art direction.

Envisxge sells menswear direct, which means the storefront and the advertising are the same job — if the ad and the landing page do not feel like one brand, the click is wasted.

The art direction is deliberately narrow: black-and-white editorial photography, a single aqua accent, and thin high-contrast display type. “Beyond Compare” runs across the hero as a full-bleed lockup so the campaign reads before a single product does.

The store itself is built on Shopify so the team can merchandise without me. Product grids, collection pages and the checkout flow were designed around a catalogue that changes constantly.

The creative engine sits on top: static ads and AI-generated video spots produced from the same direction, so paid social always matches whatever the storefront is running.

Concept & scriptAI motionBrand filmEdit & gradeSound

A contractor with a camera roll full of job sites and not one frame of usable footage — so the footage was built from the photographs.

Maleni build and restore property — facades, interiors, pools, the work that leaves a site looking nothing like it did. What they had to show for it was a phone camera roll: site photos, finished rooms, a crane against a building. Good evidence, no film.

A shoot was not on the table — not the budget, not the timeline, and half the jobs were already finished and handed over. So the film was built the other way round: their existing stills became the raw material, and generative motion did the work a camera crew would normally do.

The direction stayed human. Shot order, pacing, where the cut lands, what the piece is actually saying — none of that is a prompt. AI handled execution; the film was still directed.

It ships as a vertical cut for paid social, plus a separate landscape brand plate for the top of their site — same world, same grade, two places to put it.

The film above is client work, cut and graded. The four loops under it are produced rather than filmed — same direction, same grade, no crew. Both routes end up in the same edit.

One designer,
full stack.

I design brands, build websites and make the advertising that runs on top of them. Six years of it — first inside agencies, now independently.

Most designers stop at the logo or the layout. I kept going into the part where design meets money: the ad account, the landing page, the creative that has to keep performing after launch week.

Trained in design theory. Sharpened on performance data.

01

Brand Identity

Wordmark, palette, type system and art direction — built to hold up in a favicon and on a billboard.

02

Websites

Strategy, copy, design and build. Shopify, Webflow, Framer or hand-coded, chosen around whoever maintains it after handover.

03

Performance Creative

Static and video ad creative built as a testing system — the work that keeps a seven-figure account from fatiguing.

04

AI Video & Motion

Concept to finished cut using generative tooling where it earns its place. Human direction, AI execution speed.

Tell me what you're building.

Thirty minutes on a call. You leave with a point of view whether or not we work together.

Nik, mid-conversation

Goes straight to work@nikmakes.com. I read every one myself.

What does a project cost?

Brand identity starts in the low five figures. Full brand and website engagements run higher depending on page count and platform. Performance creative runs as a monthly retainer. I quote a fixed price after the first call — no hourly surprises.

How fast can you start?

Usually within two weeks. I take a small number of projects at once so the work gets real attention rather than being queued behind five other accounts.

Where does AI actually fit?

In execution speed, not judgement. It lets me explore twenty directions instead of three and ship campaign volume a small team could not. Direction, taste and the final cut stay human.

Do you write the copy too?

Yes, for most projects. Design and words are the same job — a layout built around placeholder text falls apart the moment real sentences arrive.
